Deborah Joyce Struebing, beloved partner, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on September 17, 2023, in Flat Rock, Michigan. She was born in Detroit, Michigan, on December 7, 1955.
Throughout her life, Deborah had many passions and interests. Her favorite flower was the daisy - a symbol of purity and innocence. Baby blue was her go-to color, and she expressed her love for teddy bears, butterflies, and coffee throughout her life.
Left to honor Deborah's memory is Thomas Carter - her devoted partner who stood by her side through thick and thin. Together they created a lifetime of beautiful memories filled with love and laughter. Deborah was also blessed with four children who brought immense joy to her life. Deborah (Gene) Steffey, Mike Hatfield, Danielle Hatfield, and Renee (David) Woodbeck. The joy of Deborah's life extended to her role as a grandmother. She loved spending time with her grandchildren: Taylor, Dakota, Kaylinn, Christina, Shelby, Dempsey, and Kayden. Deborah is also survived by her brother Rodney (Sandy) Williamson, sister Annette (the late Dwayne) Hatfield, and sister Tracey Harkrader. She was preceded in death by her parents John Williamson and Juanita May and sisters Pheobe (Dale) Grew and Agnes (Larry) Cook . Deborah will be deeply missed by those who loved and knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Autism Society in memory of Deborah. A caring cremation was entrusted to Walter Scott Skupny Funeral Home. 28605 Gratiot Ave. Roseville, Michigan 48066.
