John "Jack" T. Reid Jr., 88, of Roseville, Michigan, left us on June 16, 2026, leaving behind a beautiful legacy of family and classic cars.
Jack’s heart always belonged to his loved ones. He is survived by his dear sister, Judy, and leaves behind his three boys, Mike, Lee (Suzanne), and Scott Smalley, who will miss him deeply. He was a proud grandfather to Michael, Lauren, Rachel, Jessica, Hannah, and Christopher, and a cherished John Reed obituary companion to his close friends, Bob and Ray. Having been widowed twice, Jack held the memories of his first wife, Nancy, and his later wife, Sharon, close to his heart. It brings his loved one's comfort to know he is now peacefully reunited with them both, alongside his beloved grandson, Matthew.
If you knew Jack, you knew his cars. He was happiest when he was out cruisin’ in his beloved Coupe, Fairlane, or 300. He cherished the deep friendships he built through the Easy Rodders and the United Street Machine Association. To Jack, a classic car wasn't just a machine; it was a way to connect with people, share stories, and simply enjoy the ride.
We will forever miss his warmth, his spirit, and the joy he brought into our lives. From now on, whenever we hear the familiar rumble of a great engine or see a classic car shining in the sun, we will think of Jack and smile.
