Kristopher Michael Cason

“With profound sadness we announce the passing of Kris, our loving, kind and devoted son and friend to all whose lives he touched. Kristopher left us on August 1, 2023. He was in his 28th year. He was born July 2, 1995, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a son to Jennifer Henriques Cason.

After his graduation from Rochester High School in 2013, Kris earned his degree at The Culinary Institute of America in 2015. Kris showed his passion through many art forms but most importantly his cooking. He continued his career as a professional sous chef. He cooked from his heart and soul and put perfection into every meal. His flavor profiles were robust and unique. His cooking brought his friends and family together and made people smile.

A very big part of Kristopher's life was being there for the people around him. He was genuine, caring and loving. If it was helping someone with a need or a check in message/snapchat, Kris had a special way of letting people know they were loved and cared about.

In his free time, Kris was a creative human who showed love and enthusiasm to all art forms. His passions include music, dance, photography, working out, his cats, fashion and lots of glitter. Kris could dance all night long, without skipping a beat. Shuffling his way from the front to the back of the crowd. Crossing paths with Kris often led to friendship and his friendship led to being family.

Kris would find beauty in the little things, by capturing every moment through his point of view. He absolutely loved photography and selfies. He made you feel comfortable in front of the camera and photographed everyone's true personality, even his own. 

He had a fabulous smile, laugh and sense of humor. He was silly, funny and loved to joke around. He kept people on their toes because you just never knew what he was going to say or do next. That would be the funniest thing you ever saw or heard until it was replaced by the next funnier thing you ever saw or heard. Kris lived for concerts and festivals and laying in a hammock in crazy costumes. Kris will always be known for his sparkle and shine and his love of glitter. 

Kris was predeceased by his grandmother, Deborah; 

Survivors include his mother, Jennifer, Brother, Stephen, Niece, Selene, Aunt Joanne, Aunt Jeanette, Uncle, Jonathan, Grandfather Carl, Grandmother Connie, Many cousins, Fur Babies, Simba, Nalaa, Lyla and countless beloved friends.“
