Lola Dawn Bolds

Lola Dawn Bolds, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away on May 27th, 2023 in Royal Oak, Michigan at the age of 82. She was born on April 1st, 1941 in Winnipeg, Canada to Dudley and Nellie Paterson.

Lola lived a fulfilling life as a teacher's aid for many years. Her dedication to education and her students was evident with every passing year. Her kind and gentle spirit made her a favorite among both colleagues and pupils.

Lola had many hobbies that she enjoyed in her free time. She loved taking walks in nature, allowing her to take in all of Earth's beauty and the wildlife within it. Being outdoors brought much happiness into her life. Additionally, Lola loved reading books that allowed her mind to run wild with possibilities. When she wasn't reading Lola could often be found watching YouTube videos or collecting nick nacks.

Of course, Christmas held a special place in Lola's heart. Her excitement would often bubble over as the festive season approached.

Lola is survived by her children Martin (Shelly) Bolds, Theresa Bolds, and Kristen Bolds; grandchildren Stephanie, Tyree, Raisha, Kristopher, Dontez, Matea, Michael, Clarissa, Samantha, and Martiesha; great-grandchildren Dontez Jr., Brooklyn, Aaliyah, Alaynah, James, Zania, Zuri, Havana, Jeremiah, Jaden, and Layla; and sisters Heather and Mary Lynn.

She is preceded in death by her father Dudley Paterson; mother Nellie Paterson; sister Riva; and brother George.

Lola will forever be remembered as a kindhearted and caring person, who always placed others before herself. Her bright smile and warm personality will be missed by all who knew her.
