Today we celebrate and honor the life of Michael Darnell Jarmon Sr. Michael was born to Ruby Lyons on April 19, 1958, in Detroit, Michigan. Michael was first of six children born to Ruby.
Michael was educated in the Detroit Public School System and later obtained his High School Equivalent Certificate. After high school, Michael went on to work in various fields until he found his niche as a production supervisor at New Haven Foundry, kickstarting a twenty-five-year career until his retirement in 2013.
Michael met and married Renay Hosendove and from there that twenty-five-year union two children were born. Michael Jarmon and Nigel Hosendove Jarmon.
Michael had a passion for great music especially Jazz. He was a great backgammon and avid chess player. He loved to work out, ride his bike, fish listen to music and have a good time with family and friends.
Michael passed away after fighting a very long brave battle from a stroke. On May 25, 2023, Our Heavenly Father called Michael home to rest.
Michael was a beloved brother, father, uncle, grandfather and friend to many. He will be deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by his mother Ruby Lyons, his grandmother Ressie Carmichael, his brothers Duane and Kenneth Jarmon, and sister Juanita Jarmon.
He leaves to cherish his memory: His two sisters Sheena Amos and Marla Ellington; five children Michael Jarmon Jr., Nigel Hosendove Jarmon, Kendall Lekeysha, and Jessica Hosendove; two grandchildren Melanie Jarmon and Kayden Hosendove and ex-wife Renay Hosendove. his very special dearest friend Medina Wilson; five nephews O’bren, Gerade, Brandon, Tony, and Tino; nieces Kamesha and Ashley and a host of other relatives and friends.
A caring cremation was entrusted to Walter Scott Skupny Funeral Home, 28605 Gratiot Ave. Roseville, Michigan 48066.
